APEX ENGINEERING
Established in April 2001, the business concern is engaged in the following basic areas: -
- Automotive engines, power generators and compressors repair and maintenance.
- Apex-4, Compressed Natural Gas filling station.
- CNG kits import and conversion of Petrol Vehicles.
- Retrofitting of Diesel engines on CNG.
The workshop and the CNG station is situated at Plot No 1105-1106, Vehari Road Multan Pakistan .The business concern is a sole proprietorship.
Prospects.
The workshop staff and equipment is capable to comprehensively maintain all types of automobiles, air and CNG compressors and power generators. With the usual clientage of around 50 vehicles per day, the monthly gross receipts of the shop are around Rs. 2.5 (M).
With a daily average of six petrol to CNG conversions per day the business has a monthly turn over of about 10.0 (M) to 12.0 (M).
The CNG filing station comprises of a 250m3/hr capacity Knox Western, USA made natural gas compressor. With a clientage of more than 400 vehicles per day, the monthly gross receipts are around Rs.2.0 (M).
We have started conversion of 3, 4, and 6 cylinders Diesel engines on CNG for the past some time and have acquired orders from many bus fleet operators in Pakistan. We are also negotiating with the Government of Punjab for conversion of the Public transport running on Diesel fuel in the Province on CNG.
We have specific trade agreements with the following international manufacturers/suppliers:-
- M/s Delta Compresion S.R.L. Argentina, the manufacturers of Aspro Natural Gas Compressors. Aspro compressors are installed at more than 20% CNG stations in the World.
- M/s LOVATO S.p.A Italy. More than 35% share of CNG systems installed worldwide has its origin at Lovato.
- M/s Alternative Fuel Systems, Canada. The Company is a world leader in the development and supply of diesel to CNG conversion systems.
PETCO INDUSTRIES
Established in May 2003, the business is engaged in the running of a Semi automatic, two stage, PET bottles manufacturing plant, presently engaged in the production of 0.25, 0.5 and 1.0 liter bottles for Pesticide refilling.
Equipment
The manufacturing unit comprises of the following machinery: -
- Two Japanese made Injection molding machines of 75 and 100 Ton capacities each.
- One set, bi-axial stretch blow-molding machine.
- One 50 bar air compressor along with 12000 wlc Air Reservoir for blow machine.
- One 10.0 Ton capacity Chiller plant.
- One 80 Ton capacity Cooling Tower.
- Hopper Dryers for preheating PET Resin.
- Various molds and dies.
- Two standby power generators.
- With the change of molds and dies, the same unit can be used to produce 0.5 and 1.5 liter mineral water bottles as well as 1.0 and 1.5 liter carbonated beverage bottles. The present production capacity of the unit is about 10,000 bottles per 24 hrs.
The plant is situated at Plot No 1105-1106, Vehari Road Multan, at owner's property measuring 23 Marlas. The business concern is a sole proprietorship.
The plant is under expansion and we are importing a complete new line for manufacture of 19 liter Polycarbonate bottles for bulk water supply as well as complete molds and dies for the manufacture of 19 liter bottle caps/seals and disposable taps for the use with above bottles. We would be the first and the only manufacture/supplier of the complete line of accessories required by the 19 liter water business. This would be the third plant of this kind in Pakistan. The other two are located at Karachi and we feel that in the forthcoming days, the demand for the 19 liter PC bottles would much exceed the existing manufacturing capacity available in the country. The production capacity of this plant would be around 800 bottles a day and would be sufficient to cater for the demands for the central and northern parts of the country.
CLASSIC CONSUMABLES
Established in July 2003, the concern is a franchisee bottler of M/s Classic Needs Private Ltd, brand owners of Classic ® Drinking water. The brand is the official drinking water of Pakistan Cricket Team since July 2003 as well as the Sole supplier of drinking water to the Pakistan Railways.
We have our own water processing, blending and filling facility at Plot No 1105-1106, Vehari Road Multan. For the time being, we are engaged in the manufacture of reusable, 19 liter packing for home/office delivery bulk supply business as well as non-returnable 6 liter PET bottle packing. The business is a sole proprietorship.
Plant Specifications
We have a state of the art water filtration and processing plant, which is one of its kinds in the area. The following processes are involved in the purification of water: -
- Deep well source of 550 feet
- Multi-step filtration to 0.05-micron level.
- Polishing filtration to 0.005-micron.
- Reverse Osmosis processing for 99.5% pure water acquisition.
- Ultra violet treatment for bacteria elimination.
- Ozonation for further bacteria elimination and taste and shelf life improvement.
Prospects
At present, we have around 1500 satisfied customer base at Multan which is rapidly expanding. Recently, we have ventured into the DG Khan market with encouraging results.
Negotiations are well under way with the management of the following Organizations for the installation of two water processing plants with the latest state of the art technology at the following locations:-
- Nishter Hospital Multan. For the supply of pure drinking water to all the users at the Hospital at just a token price of Rs 1/- per liter.
- Industrial Estate Multan. For the supply of pure drinking water at one of the most chemically polluted and dangerous areas.
PROFILE OF THE SOLE PROPEROITER
- MBA (Taxation & Accounting) American University Auckland NZ.
- Served in the PAF from 1982 to 1995.Retired as a Flight Lieutenant.
- Qualified CSS Exam and joined Civil Service in The Income Tax Department in 1995.Resigned due personal reasons in 2002.
- Purchased and successfully managed a SUBWAY ® fast food franchise at Dixon Street, Wellington, New Zealand, for about a year.
- Established Apex-4 CNG station at Vehari Road, Multan.
- Established a PET bottle-manufacturing unit at Multan.
- Established classic ® water processing unit and business at Multan.
- Acquired Green Star II Filling station, 1.5 Km, Bahawalpur Road, Multan. A CNG filling station will be added very shortly.
